I began my journey in 2004 when I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado. From there I spent time gaining experience in a variety of therapeutic settings including community mental health, day treatment programs, as well as The Children's Hospital. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver in 2011, with an emphasis in Family Therapy and Interpersonal Trauma Studies. I have worked with a vast array of people from all walks of life. I am dedicated to guiding people throughout their journey of healing and self-discovery. Currently, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist, as well as a Certified Addiction Specialist. I am also a Certified EMDR clinician.
As a therapist, I believe in the power of change. In order to foster the process of change, the client and therapist must develop a trusting, therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, comfortable space for you to work toward self-improvement. We will collaborate to develop the tools you need in order to make the changes you seek in your life. It is my hope that through therapeutic intervention you will feel empowered and find new ways of thinking, behaving, feeling, and develop a strong sense of self. Most importantly, I believe in giving yourself a fresh start; a second chance; an opportunity to turn over a new leaf.
