Sometimes the things we've experienced stay with us long after the moment has passed. You may feel anxious, on edge, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to change. Or perhaps you're navigating a difficult life transition and aren't quite sure how to move forward.
You don't have to figure it all out on your own.
Whether you're working through past trauma, managing anxiety, navigating relationships, coping with loss, or facing life's unexpected challenges, therapy can help you find clarity, build resilience, and move toward a more peaceful, fulfilling life.
I'm Maggie Werther, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Addiction Specialist, and a Certified EMDR Therapist with 12 years of experience helping people work through trauma and navigate life's challenges. My approach is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, knowing you'll be met with understanding, without judgment or pressure.

Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, challenges, and goals. While I specialize in trauma and EMDR therapy, I also work with individuals navigating a wide range of life's difficulties. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where we can work together toward meaningful change.

Difficult experiences can leave a lasting impact on how we feel, think, and connect with others. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, painful memories, or patterns that are difficult to change.
As a Certified EMDR Therapist, I specialize in helping individuals process trauma and PTSD using evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Together, we'll work toward reducing distress, building resilience, and helping you move forward.

Those who serve their communities and country often face unique challenges, including repeated exposure to stressful or traumatic experiences. These experiences can affect relationships, emotional well-being, and everyday life.
I provide trauma-informed therapy for law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, veterans, and active-duty military personnel. My approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to the unique demands of these professions.
I'm also proud to partner with The Headstrong Project, which helps eligible veterans and service members access mental health care. To explore therapy through Headstrong, please visit their website and complete the online intake process.

Certain life experiences can bring complicated emotions, unexpected challenges, and a sense of uncertainty about what comes next.
I support women navigating infertility, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and other significant life transitions. Therapy can provide a space to process difficult emotions, feel understood, and find support as you navigate these experiences.

You don't have to experience trauma to benefit from therapy. Sometimes life simply feels overwhelming, relationships become difficult, or you find yourself struggling with emotions or patterns you don't fully understand.
I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, stress, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can help you gain perspective, develop healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater confidence.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss what you're looking for, answer your questions, and see whether working together might be a good fit. Whether you're ready to begin therapy or simply have questions, I'd love to hear from you.
